OAuth 2.1: authorization code with PKCE, and dynamic client registration. Each person signs in with their own free Valoo account.
Sessions
An access token lasts a week and refreshes for six months. The person can end it any time from their account.

Limits and checks

  • 30 calls a minute per account.
  • find_car: 50 searches a day per email address.
  • find_dealers: 50 searches a day per email address, 10 stores a page and up to 5 pages.
  • request_valuation: 5 valuations a day per email address, one at a time.
  • Valoo checks the account, its limits and its rights on every call, on the server. The AI never decides them.
  • The business tools appear only to accounts Valoo approved for a business, and change only what their permissions allow: the business’s contact details, or a location’s address, contact, hours or services and makes.
  • Every change needs the version the AI read: if someone else changed the listing meanwhile, the change is refused and the AI reads again.

What the tools return

  • The market tools and find_dealers return JSON: the figures or the stores, and their source with the credit “Source: Valoo”, where the data comes from, the page on valoo.gr in Greek and English, and the terms of use.
  • request_valuation returns the estimated price, its range and how many valuations are left today. The full report (PDF) goes to the account’s email.
  • Errors say what to fix, for example which makes or versions exist.

The data and its terms

The market figures come from the Ministry of Transport’s registration files, processed by Valoo. Reusing them needs the credit “Source: Valoo” with a link to the page; building, republishing or selling a database or service from them is not allowed. Terms of use
